Artist Profile: Trevor Bull

Allyson Hamblett profiles fellow artist Trevor Bull

Trevor Bull has been coming to Mapura for 11 years.  He found out about Mapura through the Stroke Foundation.

He loves drawing and painting cars, but he also loves creating native bush scenes.  Trevor currently attends Studio Practice, on Wednesday morning and Mapura Music on Wednesday afternoon.  He has been singing most of his life

Māpura Music is a collaborative programme open to all ages and abilities. No musical experience or skill is necessary, just a ‘give it a go’ attitude and a willingness to explore sound and creativity in a supportive and fun environment.

Many of the Studio Practice artists are dedicated in researching themes for their work, they explore new ideas and ways of working, in the studio and at home. A lot of their work reflects their personal experiences and unique perceptions of life.

Trevor moved to Auckland from small town, and now Mapura is a big part of his life.  “It’s a wonderful place, with different people with all kinds of personalities”,  says Trevor.
